Rushmore Primary School – AUDITIONS
Rushmore Primary School (Hackney) and KSDT – Aspiration through Movement and Play
Rushmore Primary School and Kieran Sheehan Dance Theatre are working together as part of the Creative Partnerships Change Programme to create a new piece of dance theatre. For this project KSDT are providing the lighting, set, music and 3 dancers and Year Two students and their families are choreographing and designing the project.
This exciting twenty minute performance will take place on Saturday 12th June in the afternoon and dancers will be required for six days before this point. The dancer will engage in one day of KSDT participation skills training in May 2010. We are looking for a versatile contemporary dancer that has experience of working with Year Two students and/or other education settings.
Dancers will perform with Lucia Tong and Fiona Rae (KSDT associate artists).
Fee: £750

Children Together receives more funding
KSDT are continuing to deliver Children Together with ice and fire performance company. We have received funding to work with an older age group of asylum seeker, refugee and newly arrived young people through cross art form work with South London Refugee Association.

Workshop Leaders – PARTICIPATION
KSDT will be running a range of community workshops in 2010 with diverse groups across the country. We are looking for movement and dance specialists with experience of delivering sessions to people effected by domestic violence, HIV, LGBT groups, Refugee/Asylum Seekers and substance/alcohol abuse.

My Name Is receives support from Arts Council England
Paul Bayes Kitcher has received at ACE grant to work with KSDT to develop our new dance theatre piece exploring the hope that exists within the recovery process from addiction. This bold new work will be directed by Kieran and perfomed by Paul accompanied by three contemporary performers. Within this process we will consult with recovered addicts to exchange information and contextualise the movement material.
The work in progress performance will take place on the 17th September at The Lowry Studio Theatre in Manchester at 7pm.
